Zimre Accident Claims 4 lives
A 15 seater commuter omnibus from Harare to Rusape had a fatal accident just after Mabvuku Turnoff on 10 July.Many were seriously injured and four were confirmed dead at the scene. The Zimbabwe Republic police confirmed the the accident via their X official account. Names of the deceased were not released to the public as they had to inform the bereaved families.
An eyewitness who requested anonymity told Khanyisile News that the kombi had a tyre burst/puncture and lost balance, collided into two vehicles before flipping.
Injured passengers were taken to Parirenyatwa hospital and the deceased to the mortuary respectively. The kombi is owned by a businessman popularly known as Boss Karuru and it frequently enroutes Nyazura, Rukweza and Chitenderano and Denzva.
Many have extended their heartfelt condolences as the accident drew attention because it happened during the day with passersby witnessing the tragedy.
