75 year old Gogo Sherry  Loice Gunda née Mavhangira who went missing on 7 April in Rusape was found dead in the bushes of Dzvairo. 

The Rusape Rural police department announced in a WhatsApp group called Crime Alert Rusape, a group created to alert Rusape residents of crimes being committed around them, the message below was sent by username Hungwe Peace. 

On a sad note The Crime alert wishes to announce to the Crime alert Team community and everyone who showed concern in trying to establish gogos whereabouts that her body has been found on this day 1May 2024 at a bushy place in Dzvairo ,Rusape. The body was in its decomposing condition. Members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police and CID from Rusape attended the scene and investigations are underway....

He also confirmed that it is a possible homicide as the victim was found naked with her Anglican Church uniform folded and placed next to her. 

Rusape Residents have been living in fear since the serial murders  committed last year.  The investigation is said to be open and citizens only hope that it's not a cold case.
