    Schools honor Africa Day

    On the 24th of May this month children at Gunda primary school were celebrating Africa day by doing different games , dramas and were wearing ankara clothes to present that their Africanheritage.

    Speaking with Mrs Dendera who was at the celebration gathering, she  said that teachers are doing great by allowing children to perform dramas which are informing and teaching about cultural ways of life . 

    Mrs Matewa, the school's senior teacher said that by doing this dramas children will be groomed and be trained how to do well as they will end up being actors in real life .

    Mr Murera the guest speaker said that dramas are highlighting that long ago people went to traditional healers instead of hospitals, by doing and watching these kind of dramas children will understand better in what we will be teaching them as we teach subjects which has that content which are FAREME.

    Mrs Chiunga the headmistress of Gunda primary said that by doing this ceremony we want children not to forget what is Africa day and educating them more about Africa day and its purpose.
