President Awards Butau
Honored with a medal for heroic stance in 2021.
Sirizani Butau has been honored with a medal for his heroics in 2021 in the Mutare road accident at heroes day today.
Butau was not involved in an accident but he was a truck driver and when he saw the accident he rushed and helped to save lives out of a bus that caught fire after it collided with a fuel tanker.
The medal was handed by his Excellence President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
Butau was coming from Beira to Zambia and he suffered from third- degree wounds from this accident.
Five people perished from this accident and 60 people were taken to Victoria Chitepo hospital for treatments.
He was awarded along other heroes from various sectors such as Luckmore Nice.
