Mapfumo Reclaimes His Seized Vehicles
Mapfumo seeks justice .
Thomas Mapfumo a music icon is seeking justice and demands the return of his 5 cars which are seized by police in 2000.
He insisted that individuals who sold him the cars are walking free , which is making his arrest unjustified.
He told thr Standard Style of United States that the 2000 accusations of buying stolen BMWs are cooked up stories which led him to flee Zimbabwe and live in United States in 2004.
The government seemed to be punishing me for my ZANU PF criticism as George Shugo the cars to me was never arrested.
He said his associate Cuthbert Chirombo was called to take cars as no one was claimed their ownership since they are parked at Morris Depot.
Mapfumo said Chirombo went to see the cars and wanted to pick them the following week but when he returned the cars were missing.
Mapfumo believed that the accusations were politically driven and his lawyer Warara is handling the story as he wants his cars back
He refused to come back to Zimbabwe and let his lawyer handle the whole case as he says it can be a set-up from the government.
