Diarrhoea Outbreak Hits Zimbabwe

Outbreak of diarrhea in Zimbabwe.
The ministry of Health has recorded a huge amount of diarrhea cases in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe records 8 482 common diarrhea cases and 9 deaths in every week.
On 15 September 2024 the ministry of Health and Child Care they gave a statement were 8,482 cases were recorded and nine reported deaths from several hospitals.
" The deaths were reported from Sally Mugabe Central hospital ( 4) , Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals (1) in
Harare Province and, Mpilo
Central Hospital (1), in
Bulawayo Province, Mwenezi
District (1) in Masvingo
Province, Nyanga District (2)
in Manicaland Province", reads the statement
Alarmingly, 4,235 of the
reported cases involved
children under the age of five.
Two provinces recorded the
highest number of cases,
tallying 257 601 cases and 136 deeaths cases countrywide.
"The provinces that reported
the highest number of cases
were Mashonaland West (1
230) and Manicaland (1 172).
The cumulative figures for
common diarrhoea are 257 601 cases and 136 deaths", reads the statement.
