ZIMSEC Opens Special Mop-Up Registration for November 2025 Exams
The Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (ZIMSEC) has announced a special mop-up registration facility for the November 2025 Ordinary and Advanced Level Examinations.
This facility is designed to accommodate candidates who failed to register during the initial registration period.
According to a public notice, the registration window will be open from March 31 to May 16, 2025.
However, this opportunity does not apply to June 2025 candidates , ZIMSEC urges students who missed registration for the June examinations to register for the November examinations during this period.
Confirming the development, ZIMSEC Director of Examination Administration, Mr. Vutelani Mguni, said that this final opportunity is designed to assist candidates who have failed to meet the initial registration deadline.
Mguni added that it also allows examination centers to correct registration errors, particularly for private candidates mistakenly classified as formal students.
Parents have welcomed this move, citing that it gives them time to find money to register their children for additional subjects.
Idah Magaisa, a parent who was paying exam fees at Tsindi Secondary School in Rusape, expressed gratitude for the mop-up registration. "The mop-up registration has helped me by giving me time to find money to register my son for nine subjects," she said.
Magaisa had initially registered her son for five subjects due to financial constraints.
Godknows Katye, another parent, also expressed appreciation for the extended registration period. "We had registered for a few subjects due to a shortage of money, but we are now given enough time to top up the subjects."
