Harare police arrest 3, seize dagga and crystal meth in June 7 operations
Zimbabwe Republic Police arrested three people and recovered 10kg of dagga and 1kg of crystal methamphetamine during two separate anti-drug operations in Harare on June 7, 2026.
In the first operation, law enforcement officials intercepted a Toyota Vitz along Simon Mazorodze Road.
A search revealed 10 kilograms of dagga concealed underneath the front seats. .
The suspects taken into custody were identified as Tafadzwa Zhuwao, 29, Irvine Manyeza, 26, and Tapiwa Zadzagomo, 27.
Later the same day, CID Drugs and Narcotics detectives carried out a targeted recovery in Ardbennie.
Police found 1 kilogram of crystal meth hidden in the loading box of a disused truck.
Investigations into that recovery are ongoing. Police are looking for a suspect known only as “Abel” in connection with the methamphetamine seizure.
ZRP said investigations into both cases continue.
Drug trafficking carries heavy penalties under Zimbabwean law.
Police have urged members of the public to report suspicious activity involving illegal drugs to the nearest station or through ZRP tip-off lines.
