Police Bust Alleged Illicit Alcohol Operation in Southerton, US$1m Seized
Forty-six people have been arrested in Southerton after police uncovered an alleged illegal alcohol manufacturing operation, with goods and equipment valued at more than US$1 million confiscated.
Zimbabwe Republic Police said the group includes four foreign nationals and 42 local workers.
The raid yielded manufacturing equipment, raw materials and finished alcoholic products from the premises.
Investigations are ongoing and the suspects remain in custody as police determine charges.
Authorities have urged businesses to comply with licensing and safety regulations for alcohol production.
