Police made two separate drug-related arrests in Harare province on 04/06/26, recovering unregistered medicines and illegal dagga.
In Beatrice, officers arrested Clayton Chapwanya, 36, for unlawful possession of unregistered medicines.
Police said they recovered 250 bottles of BronCleer cough syrup from him at the Beatrice truck stop just after he received the contraband.
BronCleer contains codeine and must be registered with the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe before it can be sold or possessed.
Chapwanya is expected to appear in court as investigations continue to find the source of the syrup.
In Chitungwiza, police acting on a tip-off arrested Jelos Mbofana, 45, and Webster Mujuru, 44, in Zengeza 5 for unlawful possession of dagga.
A search led officers to 10 kilogrammes of dagga packed in transparent plastics and concealed inside a polythene bag.
Dagga remains illegal in Zimbabwe except for approved medical or industrial use with a licence.
Both men will face charges in court while police investigate where the drugs came from and who they were meant for.
Authorities say they are stepping up operations at truck stops and residential areas to stop the movement of illegal drugs and unregistered medicines.
