Glenview woman jailed for biting neighbor’s ear
A 24-year-old woman Bridget Jengwa from Churu farm Glenview was sentenced to 12 months in jail by the Mbare Magistrates’ Court on April 20, 2026, for assaulting her 21-year-old neighbor.
The court heard that the woman accused the neighbor of having an affair with her husband.
The neighbor’s mother tried to stop the fight, but the woman was still angry.
The woman hit the neighbor with open hands, dragged her, and bit off part of her right ear.
She dropped pieces of the ear on the floor and ran away with her child.
The neighbor bled heavily and was left with permanent disfigurement.
The magistrate suspended 3 months of the sentence for 5 years on condition of good behavior.
The woman will serve 9 months in prison.
