Teacher Arrested for Showing Pornography to Infants
A 43-year-old teacher, Victor Zivira, from Vimbaishe Infant School in Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe, was arrested on Friday for allegedly showing pornographic material to young children.
The Chemagamba police arrested Zivira after allegations emerged that he had shown the children explicit content, taught them about kissing, and fondled their breasts.
The abuse was uncovered during counseling sessions at the school.
Vimbainashe Matsika, the school's founder, reported the incident to the police and the Ministry of Education.
"This is a disturbing case of child abuse.
We won't tolerate such behavior," Matsika said.
"As parents and guardians, we must be vigilant and protect our children."
Matsika urged parents to spend quality time with their children, counseling them on body awareness, health, and self-respect.
"Let's guide and protect our children everywhere, they are at risk anytime," she said.
Zivira is expected to appear in court today.
