The world's largest crocodile, Cassius, has passed away at the remarkable age of 120, leaving behind a legacy of transformation. Measuring 18 feet in length and weighing over a ton, Cassius was once feared for his attacks on boats and cattle off the coast of Cairns, Queensland.
However, in his later years, Cassius found a new home at Marineland Melanesia's Green Island Crocodile Habitat, where he became a beloved resident. His passing was announced on Facebook by Marineland Melanesia, who shared that health issues began affecting him on October 15.
"Cassius, our beloved mate, will be deeply missed," the post read.
A special tribute will be held in honor of Cassius, recognizing his incredible life and impact on those who knew him. Rest in peace, Cassius.
