New Dawn College Shines at National Academic Excellence Awards
Harare, Zimbabwe – The Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) came alive with celebration as Zimbabwe hosted the prestigious National Schools Academic Excellence Awards, honouring outstanding performance in the 2025 national examinations.
The awards, organized by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, recognized top-performing schools across Grade 7, O-Level, and A-Level, reflecting excellence at all key stages of the country’s education system.
Among the notable winners was New Dawn College, which proudly scooped the title of Best Independent College in Mashonaland West at A-Level. The achievement places the institution among the leading academic performers in the province and highlights its strong contribution to national education standards.
The event brought together schools from across Zimbabwe, with top institutions being honoured for their exceptional pass rates and consistent academic performance. Government officials underscored the importance of such awards in promoting a culture of excellence, discipline, and dedication among both learners and educators.
While the awards celebrated achievements at Grade 7, O-Level, and A-Level, New Dawn College stood out in the A-Level category within Mashonaland West, marking a significant milestone for the school and its community.
