Progress Made on Makoni-Nyabadza Road Construction Project, Priming Underway
Significant advances have been reported in the Makoni-Nyabadza Road Construction Project, with road priming currently in progress.
Spearheaded by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, this initiative aims to enhance the road network connectivity in the Makoni region.
The construction project, which commenced earlier this year, is slated for completion within 12 months.
Funded through the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Program (ERRP), this project underscores the government's commitment to improving infrastructure across the country.
ALPHA SUSCON, a joint venture between SUSCON CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS LTD and the Makoni Group, has been identified as the primary contractor for this project.
The company is recognized for its extensive experience in complex construction projects, delivering infrastructure solutions that include hospitals and schools.
In related developments, the Makoni Rural District Council has allocated a budget of ZiG368,701,503.21 for the 2025 fiscal year, with a portion designated for road equipment.
This funding decision reflects the council's ongoing commitment to infrastructure development and improvement within the region.
