White Rhinos Make Historic Return to Gonarezhou National Park
Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe has successfully reintroduced white rhinos after over a century.
Five southern white rhinos were relocated from the Malilangwe Trust to the park in April and May.
The reintroduction aims to restore biodiversity, establish a viable population, and secure the species' future in the park.
To protect the rhinos, the park has enhanced security measures, including ranger patrols, aerial surveillance, and real-time tracking technology.
This conservation effort marks a significant milestone for Gonarezhou and the species.
The park will continue to monitor and protect the rhinos to ensure their long-term survival.
