His Excellence President Mnangagwa gave chiefs new cars yesterday in Harare.

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa gifts traditional leaders new cars for second time this year, targets 300 beneficiaries.

On Wednesday he officially handed over 90 new Isuzu D-max double cab vehicles at the Rainbow Towers in Harare.

In February this year at Rainbow Towers Harare , Mnangagwa has previously handed over 100 Isuzu Dmax vehicles to chiefs so that they can help in their duties across districts.

190 chiefs have received vehicles but he is targeting 300 chiefs all over Zimbabwe.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa posted on his Facebook page that he had the honour of handing over 90 service vehicles to  Chiefs, in line with our policy of providing new vehicles every five years. Chiefs play a critical role in advancing Vision 2030, and the Government is committed to improving their conditions of service, with plans for medical aid, funeral assurance, and infrastructural upgrades
such as access roads and electrification of homesteads.

Through recent amendments, Chiefs are now empowered to preside over marriages and issue death certificates within their areas. As we face the challenges of the current drought, Chiefs will
play a key role in distributing food under the Zunde RaMambo programme, ensuring communities are supported.
