Rusape Town Council launched murambatsvina.
The Council has launched a movement of Murambatsvina in the town.
The Council demolished the cabins that were next to Masamvi Store near the railway line.
Rusape Town Council has demolished cabins that were used by vendors to sell goods.
The Council demolished the cabins as a way of cleaning the town.
Nigel, a vendor who was renting one of the cabins, selling jewelry and radios, said the operation has pulled the business into the mud, as it was the only source of income they had.
He went on to say that the cabins were spacious and affordable.
Mr. Mutemwa, who was selling groceries, said the cabins were good and had advantages, as it is the rainy season and the groceries will get wet.
He said that they are now selling on the streets, and it's very challenging, as the groceries will get wet and the Council will chase them from the streets anytime.
VaShonga, who was selling groceries and cosmetics, said they are now facing losses because it is not spacious enough for all their items.
