Chivayo Gifts Walter Magaya Junior Lexus and US$50,000
HARARE: Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has gifted Walter Magaya Junior a 2026 Lexus GX550 and US$50,000 in cash, praising the young preacher’s work at PHD Ministries.
Chivayo, known publicly as Sir Wicknell, announced the gifts in a statement on Wednesday, 15 April 2026. He said Magaya Junior could collect the fully paid vehicle from Victor at Exquisite Car Dealership on Friday, 17 April 2026.
The US$50,000 was described as support for the church’s work and the growth of PHD Ministries.
In the statement, Chivayo commended Magaya Junior for his conduct while standing in for his father, Prophet Walter Magaya, during the 31 December 2025 crossover service into the new year.
He noted the young preacher’s “calm confidence” and “clarity” in delivering a message of renewed hope in Christ.
Chivayo said Magaya Junior’s ministry has reached believers outside Zimbabwe, with large crowds attending his teachings in countries he has visited.
He compared Magaya Junior to the biblical Elisha taking up the mantle of Elijah, saying the continuity of ministry from father to son “is not common.”
Walter Magaya Junior is the son of PHD Ministries founder Prophet Walter Magaya.
He has become increasingly visible in the church, preaching to both young and old.
Chivayo has made multiple public gifts of luxury vehicles and cash to religious figures, artists, and social media personalities in recent months.
He often shares the announcements on his social media platforms with the hashtag #PWM.
Neither Walter Magaya Junior nor PHD Ministries had issued a public response as of Wednesday, 15 April 2026.
