Grammy Award winner Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has made a bold statement about his wealth. Recently declared the richest Nigerian artiste by a music executive, Burna Boy boasted that he's now richer than most people he once admired.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Burna Boy shared his thoughts on perseverance and determination, emphasizing their role in achieving success. He reflected on his upbringing, where politicians and oil magnates were the epitome of wealth, while music was overlooked as a viable path to financial success.
Burna Boy's journey has defied these notions, as he's surpassed his former idols in wealth. The Afrofusion artiste stressed the importance of recognizing everyone's potential, regardless of background or circumstances. His message served as inspiration, encouraging young people to strive for greatness.
Burna Boy's statement read: "Imagine growing up and only politicians and oil men were the ones really getting REAL money... Now, an ugly black musician from Port Harcourt got more money than 90% of the people he looked up to as moneymakers." He concluded, "This is why I never count any young people out, because they could be Elon Musk tomorrow typing this same message."
