Four Men Rape Form 2 Girl

The Harare Magistrates Court has stated that a Form 2 pupil was allegedly raped by four men. The 14-year-old girl was reprimanded by her mother. The accused, a 30-year-old man, lured her into his house after offering her accommodation for the night.

According to the National Prosecution Authority of Zimbabwe, the girl met the other three men, aged 30, 34, and 36, at the first accused's house. The four men threatened her with a knife, beat her with a hosepipe, and spiked her drink with an unknown substance, which rendered her unconscious. While she was unconscious, the four men took turns raping her. The sexual assault was visible on her body the next day.

After leaving the house, she reported the rape to her aunt, who took the case to the police. The first accused was found guilty of rape and sentenced to 15 years in prison, while his accomplices were acquitted.

In another case, a 61-year-old man from Upper Rangemore, Bulawayo, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping his mentally challenged stepdaughter. On November 21 last year, around 3 pm, at their family home, the man raped his 24-year-old stepdaughter, who is mentally incompetent and legally incapable of giving consent. The man allegedly raped his stepdaughter while she was sleeping and covered her mouth and nose.
